PartnerPaula Mazur Trump graduated from the University of Connecticut with two degrees, a BS in Education: Sport and Leisure Studies, which lead to certification as an Athletic Trainer, and a second BS in Allied Health: Physical Therapy. In 1998 she earned her MS in Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Her thesis was a descriptive study of the musculoskeletal characteristics and injuries in professional ballet dancers. She also received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (tDPT) in 2002. Paula was an original partner in Paladin Physical Therapy when it opened in 2008. In 2016 she partnered with Mike Pappas OPT to create Paladin-Pappas OPT Physical and Hand Therapy of Cranston. She is a certified orthopedic specialist (OCS), and a certified Athletic Trainer (ATC). Her areas of clinical expertise include Graston Technique, trigger point dry needling (TDN), and manual therapy. Her professional activities include serving as a Delegate to the APTA House of Delegates for 3 years, volunteering for the Ocean State Marathon for many years, and facilitating an online class in diagnostic testing and pharmacology through Boston University. Paula is the Compliance Officer for Pappas OPT Physical and Hand Therapy. Her personal interests include gardening, hiking, and beach volleyball. She also volunteers with Little Rhody Dog Rescue.

Certified Hand TherapistLauren has continuously demonstrated her passion for the profession by obtaining her masters in occupational therapy in 2019 and post-professional doctorate in 2021. Lauren has been practicing with PappasOPT since 2019. She has pursued certificates in advanced upper extremity management, functional dry needling, and excels at her craft of fabricating custom orthotics for the upper extremity. She has also earned the credential as a certified hand therapist (CHT) and is an active member of AOTA and ASHT.

Jodi has been a HTCC Certified Hand Therapist since 2008 and is most interested in treating sports injuries.
In her free time, Jodi enjoys travelling with family and friends and anything in the sunshine.

Clinic DirectorRachel has been a part of the Pappas OPT team since 2018, starting as a rehabilitation technician after earning her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Springfield College. She continued her education to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from South College in 2021. She is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties after completing an Evidence in Motion Orthopedic Residency, which was a year long program for specialized skills to treat patients with orthopedic disorders and injuries, that included continuing education and mentorship. Rachel is also Functional Dry Needling certified in level 1 and 2 and is a Vestibular Rehabilitation and Concussion Certified Specialist through the American Institute of Balance. Rachel’s clinical experience lies in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, treating a wide variety of general musculoskeletal conditions with additional focus on external pelvic floor and vestibular dysfunction.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys the beach, traveling, spending time with family and friends and snuggling with her cats.

Physical TherapistZachary began his career in physical therapy as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in 2016. After several years of clinical experience Zach became a member of the Pappas OPT team in 2020 as a Physical Therapist Assistant after he finished his undergraduate studies at the University of Rhode Island. While at URI, Zach earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Kinesiology, magna cum laude. Zach went on to receive his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree at Plymouth State University. Zach officially rejoined Pappas OPT as a Physical Therapist in 2023.
Zach is furthering his education and is currently enrolled in a post-professional clinical and didactic education program through Evidence in Motion’s Orthopedic Residency Program. This residency will enhance his knowledge and clinical skills to learn the most current, evidence-based practices to become an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).
Zach’s clinical experience has led him to multiple disciplines and settings of physical therapy including outpatient orthopedics, acute care hospitals, acute rehabilitation hospitals, home healthcare, and skilled nursing facilities. Zach uses his wealth of experience and continuing education to provide his patients with effective care.
When he’s not treating patients, Zach enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and watching the Boston Celtics and New England Patriots.

Danielle Logan PT, DPT
Physical TherapistDanielle joined Pappas OPT in June 2024 after returning to Rhode Island. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University in 2015 and began her career at an outpatient orthopedic center in Cranston, RI. For the past eight years she practiced in Northern Virginia, where she honed her skills in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. Danielle further specialized with additional training in vestibular and concussion rehabilitation and became certified in dry needling levels 1-3 through the Institute of Advanced Musculoskeletal Treatments. She is also a certified LSVT BIG clinician, providing intensive, personalized therapy to help individuals with Parkinson’s Disease improve their mobility and daily activities.
Outside of work, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and bulldog.

Physical Therapy AssistantFrancisco Santana graduated from the Community College of Rhode Island with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Physical Therapy Assistant in 2023. He joined Pappas OPT Physical & Hand Therapy the same year.
Francisco is working towards earning his physical therapy assistant specialty certification in orthopedics through evidence in motion. Francisco is fluent in reading/writing/speaking Spanish. He enjoys working with all ages with special interests in working with orthopedic post-op and sports rehabilitation.
His personal interest includes watching and training in combat sports, traveling, spending time with friends and family.
