Lauren Weil PT, DPT, OCS, GCS

Lauren Weil PT, DPT, OCS, GCS
Clinic DirectorLauren earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Hartford in 2014, and graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree in 2017. Lauren is certified in LSVT BIG (Lee Silverman Voice Technique) for those with neurological disorders and in Functional Dry Needling as well as first aide and in CPR. In 2019, she earned her Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification and then her Geriatric Certified Specialist certification (GCS) in 2020.
Her areas of interest include orthopedic disorders, neurological disorders (CVA, PD, TBI, SCI), as well as pediatric developmental disorders.
Outside of the clinic she enjoys archery, hiking with her dogs and traveling. She also competes in shooting.

Justin Costa is a graduate of Austin Community College with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
Justin earned his Physical Therapist Assistants Specialty Certification in Orthopedics through Evidence in Motion in 2020.
His personal interests include running, hiking, quahogging, and spending time with his wife, Katie, and son, Miles.

Physical TherapistJillian Jordan earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Boston University. Prior to that, Jillian obtained her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Health Studies from Boston University.
Jillian is most interested in treating geriatrics and orthopedics.
In her free time, Jillian enjoys reading, rooting for the Patriots, and spending time at the beach.

Physical Therapy AssistantDerek earned his Associate’s in Applied Science, Physical Therapist Assistant from New England Institute of Technology.
Derek is a Certified Functional Strength Coach and a Certified Personal Trainer with a specialty in orthopedic exercise. He is most interested in treating orthopedic injuries and athletic/sports pre/rehab.
In his free time, Derek enjoys weightlifting, reading, dancing and spending time with his wife and cats.

Occupational TherapistAmanda completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Rhode Island in 2021 receiving a BS in Kinesiology. She continued her education and earned her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Bay Path University in 2023. Amanda specializes in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation with a special interest in work-related injuries and splinting.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, horseback riding, and spending time with her friends and family.

Andrew is a veteran of the Army National Guard and native Rhode Islander. Fitness is a priority for Andrew, with weightlifting being a central part of his routine.
In his free time, Andrew enjoys playing pool, ping pong, movies and traveling the world with his wife Deanna and their adorable pitbull Bubbles.

Occupational TherapistJake joined Pappas OPT as an intern before earning his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Rhode Island. He continued to work as a rehabilitation aid before moving on to graduate school. He then earned his Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) degree from Johnson & Wales University. Upon completing his doctorate, Jake returned to Pappas OPT where he works as an Occupational Therapist.
Understanding the meaningful activities that bring joy to his patients’ lives, helping them through engaging therapy and working towards their functional goals are what drive Jake in his practice.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading history and staying active.

Physical TherapistRyan graduated from Boston University with a dual degree in Athletic Training and his Doctor of Physical therapy degree. He has worked in the outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine setting (with collegiate and professional athletes) ever since and has worked to advance his skills in manual therapy, dry needling and functional rehabilitation. Ryan also has worked as an educator at both Boston University and Northeastern University in their Physical Therapy programs helping to grow the next generation of great Physical Therapists. He also works with the 2 time national champion Major League Rugby team: The New England Freejacks as an AT/PT. Ryan enjoys working with motivated patients of all ages and backgrounds, and seeks to provide patient centered and functional treatments in order to restore the patient’s functional capacity and eliminate pain. Ryan is excited to set down roots here in Providence, and in his spare time enjoys being outside, hanging out at the beach, attempting to “golf”, and spending quality time with his partner and cats.
