Bert Reid PT, DPT
Co-Founder
Bert Reid PT, DPT
Co-FounderBert Reid received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital, his Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island and his undergraduate degree from Tulane University, where he was Academic All-American. Bert was a recipient of the prestigious University of Rhode Island Distinguished Achievement Award. Dedicated to local athletes and his community, Bert has also been inducted into both the Providence Gridiron and R.I. High School Football Coach’s Hall of Fame.
Bert works with many elite athletes including Olympic medalists, collegian runners, baseball pitchers and catchers, pro golfers, tennis players and pro sailors (see our Wall of Fame). Bert is NikeGolf NG360 Fitness Certified, Gray’s Institute Functional Golf Certified and a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Fitness Professional. He is certified in Advanced Orthotics Fabrication and trained in digital running analysis.
During his free time, Bert enjoys running, golfing and spending time with his wife, Krista, and their two kids, James and Julia.

Lisa House PT

Lisa received her Bachelor of Physical Therapy in 1990 from Northeastern University. She began her career working in both Tufts and Harvard affiliated Boston teaching hospitals with a variety of patient caseloads including orthopedic, neurology, oncology, medical surgery, cardiac rehab and pediatrics.
She became passionate about working with infants in the NICU and focused her post graduate work on pediatrics at Boston University in 1992. Over the past 28 years, Lisa has specialized in pediatric cases. She has taken over 20 advanced training seminars with a focus on pediatric rehabilitation including neurodevelopmental techniques, infant massage, myofascial release, strain-counterstrain and craniosacral therapy.
Lisa believes in a family-centered approach and enjoys working with children of all ages and their parents to achieve their goals.
She lives in Wakefield with her husband and 3 children, all of whom can be found at the beach swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing and hiking with their 2 dogs, Cotton and Shugha.

Clinic DirectorKristin is a highly qualified professional in the field of physical therapy, athletic training and strength and conditioning with a wealth of experience spanning over two decades. Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of New Hampshire, which she completed in 1990, followed by a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island in 1996.
In addition to her academic achievements, Kristin holds certifications as an Athletic Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association). These certifications speak to her expertise in both injury prevention and performance enhancement across various athletic disciplines.
Kristin’s professional experience encompasses a diverse range of settings, with a focus on orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. She has amassed over 24 years of experience, including work with sports teams both domestically and overseas. Her expertise extends beyond the realm of sports, as she has also worked extensively with individuals of all age groups within the general population, devising tailored strengthening, conditioning, and rehabilitation programs to suit their needs.
Continuing education is a cornerstone of Kristin’s professional development, as evidenced by her completion of over 30 advanced training courses. These courses cover specialized areas such as functional rehabilitation, lower extremity mechanics, spinal rehabilitation, and concussion management, with her certification as a concussion specialist through CCMI (Complete Concussion Management Inc.) underscoring her commitment to staying abreast of the latest developments in her field.
Moreover, Kristin has a particular interest in treating individuals post-breast cancer and mastectomy, showcasing her dedication to addressing the unique rehabilitation needs of this demographic.
Kristin’s treatment philosophy revolves around a holistic, functional approach aimed at restoring and enhancing mobility, strength, and overall performance across various sports and activities. By prioritizing individualized care and utilizing evidence-based techniques, she strives to empower her patients to achieve optimal outcomes and improve their quality of life.

Physical TherapistJustin is originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana. He graduated from McNeese State University with a B.S. in Health and Human Performance for Exercise Science in 2015. He received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island in 2019. A passion for coaching and teaching led Justin to his career as a physical therapist. He enjoys working with patients of all ages to help them reach their rehab goals by focusing on patient education, manual therapy techniques, and functional movement science. He is also certified in Functional and Integrative Dry Needling. In his spare time Justin enjoys traveling with his family, hiking, camping, skiing, snowboarding, going to the beach, and cooking traditional home-made Louisiana Cajun cuisine. He is also a big fan of the Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, New Orleans Saints, and LSU Tigers.

With extensive certifications, including Specialty Certification in Orthopedics, Graston Technique, Gray Institute Applied Chain Reaction Biomechanics, Gray Institute Applied Functional Science, and APTA Clinical Instructor, Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice. Her clinical experience encompasses both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, as well as sports rehabilitation. Melissa is dedicated to employing functional therapeutic exercises and manual techniques to tailor treatments to the unique goals and needs of each patient.
In addition to her clinical work, Melissa boasts over 20 years in the fitness industry. She is a certified Personal Trainer who offers private training sessions in clients’ homes, a Schwinn Certified Spin Instructor at SocoCycle RI in Narragansett, and a Level 2 Lagree Certified Instructor at SocoCycle RI in North Kingstown.
When she’s not in the clinic or teaching fitness classes, Melissa enjoys pursuing her own workout routines and cherishing time with her family and friends.
