I highly recommend OPT for physical therapy care. Dr. Eric, Rob and team members Steve and Lizzie guided me through therapy after hip replacement surgery. Under their professional supervision I was able to resume normal physical activity, much more quickly than I expected. The positive atmosphere and caring staff made each visit a happy experience. If needed, I will definitely use their services again and recommend them to others.

Dr Eric and his assistant Rob are awesome. I was hurting from the worst pinched nerve. I was in pain 24/7 for months. I tried medication, lidocaine patches, acupuncture. Nothing helped. The first visit I was shown exercises that made the pain manageable. By the third visit the pain was gone. I can’t believe how much better I feel. Thanks you OPT. But especially Dr Eric and Rob. You guys rock. I also want to point out that the front desk staff is very nice and helpful. Lauren worked with me over the phone to get all my insurance information correct and booked appointments that worked for me.

I am appalled at reading negative reviews of OPT when my experiences there have been so very outstanding. I have been treated at OPT for hip pain, which was very helpful in strengthening my muscles for what would necessarily become a hip replacement. I was so strong after the surgery that no further physical therapy was needed. My next experience at OPT was after surgery for a badly broken shoulder which was dislocated and a badly damaged rotator cuff. Victor Sandman was the therapist, assisted by many others, Ben in particular. Everyone, from the ladies who greet you to each to all the workers and trainees I met there was pleasant and went out of their way to be helpful. Making an appointment was easy, and I never had to wait. At the beginning of the shoulder therapy, I could not lift my arm at all, and had no range of motion. I worked very hard for at least ten months and was able to achieve some but not an acceptable range of motion. At that point Victor contacted my doctor and suggested an MRI should be done. He could have said “Oh well, that’s as good as you’re going to get “, but he went that further step which made all the difference in a true diagnosis. Dr. Green at Rhode Island Hospital told me that the surgery I had was inadequate for the extent of the damage and that I should have had a total shoulder replacement. I have been working with him about what to do now. So, if it had not been for Victor pushing for the MRI, I never would have pursued this on my own as my surgeon didn’t think it necessary. This led me to Dr. Green, who has consistently given me excellent advice. Every day when I left a session at OPT I felt better. I actually miss being there and the improvement in my strength that I accomplished there. Over the course of the time I was there I witnessed many other patients (often friends) being treated as well as I was. I highly recommend OPT for anyone of any age who needs physical therapy.

I credit Eric and the other therapists and assistants at OPT for getting me back to normal after a serious leg injury. They treated me with great professionalism and concern for my physical and mental wellness as I went through the months of rehabilitation necessary to get me walking again. I would not hesitate to recommend OPT to anyone in need of physical therapy . Thank you Eric, Victor, Christie, Ben, David (and anyone whose names I have forgotten ) for your great care. You are the best!!!

I have been going to Pappas in Johnston for multiple injuries and they took great care of me. From the front desk (Beth) to the assistants (Leah) and of of course the therapists thats I had the pleasure to work with, first was Matt, then John and Eric. They treat you like family and want the best for you. Best PT around.

Jacalyn Pappas is the absolute best! She makes sure to address all questions and concerns. All of the staff are friendly and incredibly helpful. I would highly recommend any of their therapists. I love coming to my appointments knowing it's going to be a great session. They do really treat you like family.

I have been to numerous physical therapy places throught my life and by far, Pappas in Johnston has been the best experience I have ever had. Beth goes above and beyond for me and all her patients. She listens to all of my concerns and ailments and creates a plan with milestones. I feel she is a true advocate for my well-being and recovery. Pappas was truly a game changer for me. I came here for treatment for TMJ and I worked with Shawn. He was amazing! He educated me on how my muscles move and work and how everything is connected, and gave me the tools I needed to manage pain and improve function and range of motion in my jaw and neck, even when my other doctors said nothing could be done. Pappas has a welcoming environment where the physical therapists and aids treat you like an actual person. When I was there for my appointments, I would forget that I was actually at the doctors. Overall, it was a great experience. I’d recommend this place and Shawn to anyone!
