Physical Therapist AssistantMonique Garcia earned her associate degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant from the New England Institute of Technology. Prior to that, Monique obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Rhode Island.
Monique is most interested in treating concussions, neck pain, and total joint replacements.
In her free time, Monique enjoys reading, playing board games, and spending time with her husband Gil and their cat Pepe.

Jodi has been a HTCC Certified Hand Therapist since 2008 and is most interested in treating sports injuries.
In her free time, Jodi enjoys travelling with family and friends and anything in the sunshine.

Clinic Director/ Regional DirectorMatthew Schmidt graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Exercise Physiology in 2013 and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Angelo State University in 2016.
In Texas, he began working with outpatient neurological, medically fragile, vestibular and orthopedic patients before moving to Georgia where he worked in geriatrics with a focus in chronic pain, balance disorders, deconditioning, and dementia.
Matthew is certified in LSVT BIG for persons with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders. He is also certified in functional dry needling. His clinical treatment model focuses on a multimodal technique emphasizing well-dosed individualized exercise protocols and implementation of dry needling and manual therapy when needed.
He is also the Regional Director for the Northern Region of Rhode Island.
His personal interests include strength training, being outdoors as much as possible, writing and playing music, and exploring Rhode Island with his wife, Ashley, son Oliver, their two dogs, Remy and Joon.

Physical TherapistMaulikta Patel graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Rajiv Gandhi University in India in 2003. After pursuing advanced studies, she obtained her PT license in the United States in 2007. Since then, Maulikta has built a distinguished career in Rhode Island, specializing in geriatric care with over a decade of experience. Her knowledge and experience spans chronic pain, balance disorders, postoperative rehabilitation, back pain, concussion, vestibular disorder, women’s health and pelvic floor disorders.
Maulikta is highly skilled and certified in kinesiology, pain neuroscience education (PNE), manual therapy, craniosacral therapy, concussion and vestibular therapy, and dry needling. Maulikta is certified in LSVT BIG to improve motor function in individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders. Her treatment approach integrates exercise protocols, manual therapy, and modalities to address her patients’ unique needs.
Outside of her professional life, Maulikta enjoys cooking, watching TV shows, and spending quality time with her husband and two kids.

Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Science (CBZ) from Bangalore University, India. She has built a notable career since then in the state of Rhode island in various settings, including SNF, hospitals, nursing homes and outpatient clinics. Bindu is certified in kinesiology, pain neuroscience education (PNE), manual therapy, craniosacral therapy, concussion and vestibular and LSVT BIG.
Her area of expertise includes working with Manual therapy, Orthopedic disorder and post operative rehabilitation, chronic pain, balance disorders, back pain, concussion, vestibular disorder, LSVT BIG, women’s health and pelvic floor disorders. She enjoys working with geriatric patients to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life through physical therapy. Above all she enjoys solidifying her foundation and building hands-on skills to aid in the healing process for each patient and building lasting relationships with her patients.
In her free time, she likes exploring the outdoors, traveling and she also enjoys traveling with family and visiting historical places.
