People in Rhode Island Trust Pappas OPT
Hear from patients that reclaimed their lives.
I've been working with both Colin and Ephraim since mid-November, in advance of and following my right knee replacement. I can't say enough about their skill, knowledge, and kindness as I've worked through this rehabilitation process. They are true assets to the practice. The desk staff and all the assistants I've interacted with have also been equally pleasant and helpful at each visit.

I can't reccomend Justin, Bindu, and the rest of the team enough. I went in with a shoulder problem that was causing me chronic pain and with their help I'm back to 100% functionality. Their knowledge and bedside manner is top notch. I'm glad I decided to go with them for my shoulder PT and I'm sure that if I stick to the home exercises I won't have any more problems. Highly recommend.

I want to thank Pappas OPT for helping me recover from my motor vehicle accident. I came in with a mild concussion and whiplash injuries. Brad took the time to evaluate and come up with a plan to help me get better. There were ups and downs but Brad was very informative and pushed me to get to my goal. Thank you Brad for the exercises and therapy and for listening to my concerns, and to Jonathan who assisted at times with some of the therapy. I'm now doing well and feeling so much better. I'd highly recommend Pappas OPT to anyone needing physical therapy. Everyone there is so nice and knowledgeable.

I had both knees replaced, back to back, resulting in 6 months total (3 mos/knee) therapy - all of which was performed at Pappas OPT. My therapists - Mary Colfield and Chloe Campellone were great.Mary was with me for both knees, Chloe got the right. They were excellent at pushing patients toward improvement and full recovery, but not into the realm of too much pain.
Sessions almost always begin with heat and end with icing. Therapy and exercises fill the in between period. You should be aware that there is a senior and junior therapist assigned to your case, with the junior taking the majority of the sessions. Every therapist there that I saw, if coming to the end of the allotted hour would pass off the patient to what seemed to be very junior therapists to finish off assigned exercises. This is disconcerting for some parents, especially when the new therapist is unfamiliar with what exercises, sets, reps, and so on are required. Had the assigned team of two been a team of three, it would be easier. This is indeed a small irritant, if that, but it was endemic.
Pappas is a clean and spacious facility. They do not lack for equipment or skilled personnel. The administrative side of the operation is smoothly handled. All the staff is consistently cheerful and positive. Parking was never a problem.
I walked into Pappas OPT with a left leg that looked like hell on a cracker. 6 months later, having been scrupulous in following instructions and working out to schedule, I walked out with 2 knees that were fully recovered. Mary and Chloe and Pappas OPT were a huge part in that journey.

The kindness and friendliness of the staff helps put their clients at ease when needed most, during times of vulnerability, pain, and fear. Their professionalism and obvious love for their job shows every day. You know you are in excellent hands. They are extremely good at explaining why, how and what to expect from your treatment plan related to your injury. A special shout out to Brad who was able to bring me towards my optimal level of function related to my needs and what’s important to me personally. I am grateful.

I've been working with Brad for the last year on a chronic back injury, and have always been so impressed by his clinical skills, knowledge base and easygoing bedside manner. A year ago I assumed I would always be managing some level of back pain, and that my days of long distance running were behind me. Through working with Brad I've gradually realized pain-free movement is possible, and I just completed my first marathon! All of the practice staff are always kind and welcoming, and make coming to PT a great experience.
